Clone of Lybrate Website Version 2.0

Clone of Lybrate Website Version 2.0

Hello Readers, You might have seen the Lybrete website where you can consult Doctors also can buy Wellness Products and Medicine. Moving ahead, our team #Lybrate_Cloners at Masai School developed a clone of the Lybrate website in just 5 days as a part of our curriculum (unit-4 construct week). This blog is all about our journey and the challenges we faced while building the project.

We as a team narrowed down the main functionality and each person took their parts and performed it with perfection and full dedication. We used our past learning from units - 1, 2 & 3 combined to achieve this result and I have to say that it turned out very well. The topics were taught in Masai School with the methodology of gradually releasing the responsibilities and it was an effective tactic for upskilling the student and turning them into a robust developer in a highly volatile industry like tech.

Team Members:

Mohit Sherawat(me), Bobby More, Nitin Gupta, Mahesh Vaital, Harish Reyya and Rajat Kumar

Technology used in the making of this project

HTML: Used to build the basic structure of the cloned site. All the headings, paragraphs, links, forms, etc were structured by HTML.

CSS: Used to add styling to our structure. Background images were used to make the website identical. Also, Grid and Flex boxes were used along with the media queries to make some pages fully responsive.

Bootstrap: For designing the layouts and other appearance factors.

Advanced JS: ES6 syntax used for the frontend and backend.

NodeJS & Express: Used for making the whole backend.

MongoDB: Used for storing the database of the website.

What did I learn?

• By end of this project, I am able to learn how effective work can be done as a team when ideas are trajected in multiple spectrums.

• The coordination while presenting the project was a new experience for all the members of the team which was fun driven as well as professional learning.

• Effective learning involves how we were able to suggest constructive feedback on each other’s work and debug before we present our project.
